TEACHER RESOURCE BOOKS
The books were written by different certified Alaskan teachers that were taught by our traditional Elders as part of a Grant project. This project was called Project Alaska Indigenous People’s Academy. The Elders have generously shared their skills, stories, cultural traditions through nine, two-week camps, along several different rivers in the Interior of Alaska. The resource books were made with the intent they are used alongside the Culturally-Based Curriculum Units that were developed by teachers and published by AINE.
The K-12 resource books were designed for students and teachers as a research tool to gain background knowledge about the Alaska Native Peoples. Each book is 30-80 pages with photos and information on cultural activities.
